Liberty is very picky. At age 9 she still doesn't like different foods to touch each other. Bento Boxes were invented for this child! And fortunately they're all the rage.We had a blast searching online for the perfect box, finally deciding on an actual Japanese import. It's the pink polka dot one with three stacking tiers pictured above. There are lots of local options available, though, given our proximity to San Francisco's Japantown and the significant Asian population in the Bay.
It does take longer to pack her lunch but I enjoy the creative challenge of it and I'm hopeful that my petite daughter eats more given the visual appeal. Besides, this stuff is so adorable!
